Pastors Jonathan and Rebecca Davis have been married since 2009, and have two kids, Eli and Emma Kate. Jonathan and Rebecca both grew up in church and got involved in serving in the church at an early age. As the years went on, they got caught in in the “hamster wheel of life” and found themselves going through the motions. A wake-up call from the Lord came in 2011 when their first child was born. Jonathan knew he had to grow in the Lord to be the dad he wanted to be. He started seeking the Lord on a deeper level than ever before. Through this, he heard the call to full time ministry. It wasn’t until 2018 that the steps were taken to walk into that calling.
In 2018, Kenneth Copeland Bible College (KCBC) opened in Texas, and Jonathan and Rebecca knew that was where the Lord wanted them to attend. They attended KCBC from 2018-2020. While there, the Lord called them to the ministry of the Pastor. The dream of Legacy of Faith Church began to grow big in their hearts, and the Lord led them back to Bossier City, LA in 2022 to start the church. It began in their living room in August of 2023, and moved to Candace Dance Company in February of 2024.
Jonathan is passionate about teaching people how to use their faith to live a victorious life! Rebecca is passionate about helping people overcome life's challenges through the Word of God. She feels called to women's ministry and is excited to get started with a thriving group of ladies.
Together, they are excited about building a community of believers, discipling them in the Word of God, and watching their lives transform.
Robby Coburn has been with Legacy of Faith Church since it began in August 2023. He has been part of a worship team since 2015 and was called to lead worship in 2016. He has five years of formal music theory education, and experience as a music director for a worship team. He initially began playing keys only, but now primarily leads worship with rhythm guitar and keys. In addition to worship and music, he is also skilled in audiovisual and sound engineering.
One of Robby's favorite parts of leading worship is getting the opportunity to take his love for Jesus, pair it with his love of music and instruments, and watch the Holy Spirit use it to do things he could have never done on his own. He believes there is healing in worship and finds pure joy in it! At LOFC, he hopes to establish a thriving worship team. He plans to develop and equip a strong and skilled team of worshipers so that each time they are leading worship, they can give the Holy Spirit everything they have available to lead our congregation deep into the river through corporate worship. He also hopes to impart interest in music and worship to our upcoming students. He believes we should be working now to provide an avenue for students who have an interest in music and desire to use it for the Lord’s work. After all, they’ll be stepping up to take our place one day.
Robby has been married to his wife Kim since March of 2012. He enjoys spending time with his wife; she’s his best friend. They like camping, fishing, hunting, cooking, and riding the golf cart around their neighborhood. Of course, he likes sitting around playing the guitar too. Robby has been a public servant for thirty years in the fire service. He spent six years in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
